Get to know your school counselor

At the beginning of the year, I always go into each 4th grade classroom to introduce myself and let them know what my job is here at school. To make this a little more exciting, I have adapted a lesson I found on another blog. During this lesson, students turn me into a "Potatohead" while I am explaining my role within the school. We talk about groups that I run, class lesson topics, and how I can help them whenever they are struggling or just having a bad day. The kids love this!
