New rainbow of friends display!
This is one of my favorite class lessons. After reading the story, 'A rainbow of friends', students cut out paper handprints and write 5 positive qualities a friend should have in their fingers and thumb. In the palm of their hands they write, "I will be a good friend." I give each classroom a different color of the rainbow and then put all of the handprints together in this wonderful display.
