The Starfish Story

I teach a 5th grade classroom lesson using the starfish story. After reading the story, we talk about how they can make a difference at school, at home, in their community and to the world. They set goals for themselves and write them on mini starfish. We then come back together whole group and the kids share out what they can do to make a difference in their classroom. I write these on a large starfish that stays in their classroom for the remainder of the year.
