I recently taught a 5th grade lesson on kindness. We used quotes from the book "Wonder" to talk about what it means to be kind and to treat others with respect. I then gave every 5th grade the opportunity to participate in an essay contest. The winners of the contest received the certificate you see below and these candy bags I created. The saying on the bag is, "You put in mounds of effort with this essay. You are on a kindness roll. Keep up the good work and don't forget to always choose to be kind. Kids who are kind are such smarties."
