Teacher Jobs vs Student Jobs

We have been using the terms teacher jobs and student jobs for students in our 5th grade integrated co taught classroom this year, but this can also apply to younger students struggling with rigid thinking when it comes to rule following. This can easily be incorporated as part of any social thinking lesson, as well. Students brainstorm what they feel our teacher jobs and what they feel are student jobs with me in my office. We then role play different scenarios and discuss a variety of classroom situations. Students then have a set of teacher job and student job signs. The ones in this picture are made from cardstock and a popsicle stick. For a class set, it is best to have the signs in different colors.
