Cafeteria Conversation Starters

Lunch can be a challenging time for some of our students. They either don't know what to say with their friends or they end up getting into unnecessary drama with others. I created these to give students some positive questions to ask each other to get conversations started. They are really a big hit!! Here is what they look like:

Here is a list of what is written on each index card. I laminated them and put them on a ring.

- What is your favorite pizza topping?
- What is your favorite movie?
- What do you want to be when you grow up?
- Do you like to play video games?
- If you had 3 wishes, what would they be?
- Do you have any pets?
- What is your favorite food?
- Do you play a musical instrument?
- What is your birthday?
- What is your favorite candy?
- Do you play any sports?
- What is your favorite book?
- What is your favorite flavor of icecream?
- What kind of music do you like to listen to?
- What is your favorite subject in school?
- What do you like to do on the weekends?
- What is your favorite T.V. show?
- What is your favorite color?
- If you won $100, what would you do with it?
- Do you have any brothers or sisters?
- What do you like to do during activity?
- If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
- If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
