TEAMWORK

I recently did a class lesson on teamwork following our team building day. Students were split into small groups consisting of 2-3 students from each grade level. They then completed 3 different activities that required team work. We didn't have much time to debrief the activity so I decided to create a class lesson for December on the topic for all grade levels. One of the activities durng my lesson was to give small groups one of the letters in teamwork. They also were given a word that started with that letter using the acrostic poem below:

Accomplishes

More

Respect

Kindness

I used "work ethic" in my class lesson so that these students had something to discuss and write about. Each group had to determine why this was an important part of teamwork. For example, for the letter "T", students had to discuss why working together is an important part of being on a team. Each classroom teacher kept their acrostic poem to hang in their room if they pleased.
